EASTBOURNE YOUNG SOLOIST COMPETITION 2008

“These were mature and authoritative performances. A beautiful warm focused sound. The Prokofiev was characterised with contrasts of intensity and humour, with well shaped and projected pizzicati. As the performance progressed you revealed more facets of tone colour and sonority. The Sibelius was a wholly absorbing performance.”   - Published Judges' Adjudication.

"Soloists’ Brahms Concerto is a tour de force"

Brahms Double Concerto - Guildford Symph Orch - 'Cello Liubov Ulybysheva.

“...The soloists soon proved their worth in the opening cadenza, a beautiful example of musical interplay.  Throughout the work they gave their all in a wonderfully enthusiastic and co-ordinated performance with some exceptional warmth in the slow movement.”  - Shelagh Godwin for Surrey Advertiser.
